Anyone know this car? 997.2 Turbo S

How come the intercoolers have been upgraded on this car?

I thought the 997.2 turbo/S came with the same intercoolers as the GT2RS. Or does an ES650 upgrade dictate bigger? Just wondered that's all.

The 997.2 turbo's have GT2RS intercoolers as standard... The ones fitted to the ES650 mentioned are Champion Intercoolers, an upgrade again over the GT2RS ones.

Sorry I seem to have caused a bit of confusion!

In the context of the thread I thought it was rather obvious I was referring to a comparison between a standard turbo s and the 'tuned' version here, but obviously not.

To me the turbo s in standard form is insanely fast so I was trying to get an idea of how much faster a car can be.

Whilst it may be confusing to someone not familiar with the Porsche range regarding a 'tiptronic s' and a 'turbo s' I think all on here are fully aware of what they have and the differences between them.

Not your fault.

No confusion whatsoever, your question was extremely clear.
What is the difference between a tunned 997.2 turbo S and a standard 997.2 turbo S 👍

ES650 required upgraded Champion Intercoolers or meths.

ADE choose meths whilst Paul went for the Champion Intercoolers 👍

Yeah thanks for coming in 'bikeracer1098' and chipping in more insults, that's really big of you.
May I ask one question, what's your point? Apart from ruining a thread that is.

Now to get back onto the 'topic'.

I decided not to go through with the car for a number of reasons which I've stated earlier. There is nothing wrong with the car at all and in fairness I only had a half hour run in the car but as others said when you get over 100 mph that's when it will really go and I didn't get over 100 mph, much!
I also know that the car had been with the dealer for a while, so I thought I could maybe squeeze a bit more out of them but they weren't having it and the standard parts then came into the equation which I realised they wanted to keep.
In my mind putting it back to std is an odd thing to do but it's their car now, easier to just bring the price down and move it on.

Just looking at another thread which states the GT2RS intercoolers are about £1000 from OPC.

 Interesting how they comparable to running meths.

With Meth, headers and Intercoolers ES have been seeing 100-200kph vbox times of 4.6 secs!!!
ESMotor have also been experimenting with DO88 Intercoolers and found comparable results with the Champions and are 1/2 the price, guess what my next upgrade is ;-)
