Sports Chrono dial and its illumination!

Why is it that the dial is very dim even when the outside lights are on?
Surely you'd think it would illuminate :?:
 
I think I tried that but then it makes everywhere else really bright which I don't want :roll:

No problem, thought it might help :thumb:
 
It might be coded off .. there was a problem with it reflecting on the windscreen at night so this was often done , i think it was even factory set that way at least thats what i remember :)
 
Its a lot lower in the dash on a 981 but don't have much experience yet as to whether it causes reflections, mine was on and I don't remember thinking its Dim in any way :dont know:

I adjusted the dimming and that did brighten it a bit so I'll see how it goes.
I wonder what the reflection looks like against the windscreen :?:
