Connecting iphone to play itunes

This has probably been done to death. Is there's an easy way to be able to play my iTunes through my PCM? Think it's v 2 and it'll have to be in line with not buggering up Porsche warranty. 2005 Carrera S. Im not bothered about hands free phone calls unless this is easy to solve too. Thanks in advance.

I don't think the warranty will be affected by this

It will affect the warranty.

My PCM crashed a month ago and OPC put a new one in under warranty - would have cost £1700... Or even an indie repair would have been circa £400.

Is there an AUX plug in compartment near handbrake? Just get a connecting lead for your phone.

I'm sure my Gen 1 had something like this where I had an iPod connected to it.

There's nothing to connect an iPod unless you fit a mobridge or dension device to the pcm unit which are circa £500 I believe.

For the little extra, I'd get a completely new unit fitted. Would that affect a claim for a mechanical failure?

Cheers chaps. If there isn't a plug in the centre console I'll do without as it's primarily a weekend car. I've managed with stereo delete in my e36 but it surprising how I've taken for granted the Bluetooth functionality in my recent daily golf R and Megane. If there is a cheap oem fix I'll do it but I'd rather put £500 towards maintenance fund.

The only way you can keep warranty is via 997.044.901.70, but I will warn you its not cheep and is no better that a £10 FM transmitter off ebay.

Bluetooth is the one area that the Gen1's have really dated with :-(

There is Jonny. I have two leads in glove box for iPod or MP3 .

On reflection, I hardly use it as I like to listen to the howl and growl of the engine :)

The nav system is far superior to the original pcm unit though.

I can also play music via Bluetooth, Spotify etc. Handy if you have the new generation iPod but I've got the classic version ( non Bluetooth) old skool :D

No leads in my car. Checked with dealer. I've lived without a stereo I'm my m3 for nearly 5 years so the radio will have to do.

Everything i've read about these http://www.iphonefmtransmitter.com/ (on various international forums) is really good.
Sorely tempted to test one out.
Has anyone one here tried these or use these particular units??

i have an FMtransmittor like this and its decent enough for the odd time i use it and for £20 i think on ebay - i'm sure there are better ones out there now?
