Surely if you have a fiat panda as your daily you can just build your ncb up on that with your own policy and then be named as a second driver on the Porsche with your Dad as main driver?

.......or am I missing something? :dont know:

It all depends on how comprehensive the policy should be from the legal perspective, as I would be the only driver of the car he would have to be policy holder second driver and I would be main driver, doing this means that the policy is just as expensive as having my own policy, I have rang up a few independent Insurance companies now and a broker, for the most part I was told to stop dreaming and wasting their time. So admaril are still top of the charts in my book. How old does a car have to be before it is considered for classic car Insurance?

Have you tried Competition Car Insurance (Towergate), they offer specialist car policies? Why not switch any no claims you've built upon your daily (panda) on to the new car instead? Also the mini you're selling has there been any NCD built up on that?

Classic car is older than 15 years.

Why don't you have your Dad as main driver and policy holder on the Porsche and you as second driver, still keeping your Panda Insurance for your NCB? You're not using the car as your daily so it won't be for main use and you driving it all the time. The Insurance companies don't monitor how many miles each of you do in it so I can't see the problem..

You'd save a hell of a lot of money and not be doing anything wrong either.
