Engine Compartment Blower Fan Warning

Hi All,

Happy New Year.

Last couple drives the Engine Comp Blower Fan warning has flashed up on my dashboard. Each time I have pulled over and checked the fan to make sure she's spinning (not that you can mistake the additional noise when it has kicked in!) and it has been.

Any ideas what this is all about?

Cheers

Chris

There are two motors in the engine bay, one provides 'some' cooling effect and is located on the underside of the engine lid, the other provides air injection into the cylinder heads & exhaust to aid faster warmup of the cats.

Probably best to have the codes pulled to ascertain which motor has an issue but a simple test would be the air pump located on LHS of engine bay above engine mount should run for a min or so when the engine is first started and then switch off, the cooling fan won't run until the engine is properly hot.

Hope this helps a little
