Hi there has anybody had any experience using Mr 911 (Clive) in the purchase of a 993

also is there a specific "porsche sports exhaust" for the 993?

I think that chap has a good reputation. Some people use a guy named Peter Morgan who will carry out a pre purchase inspection. If it were me looking to buy a 993 now, I'd try and get someone who knows their King Edwards from their shallots to look it over. Some of the weirdos on this very forum could likely give a car a reasonable once over. Naming no names. They know who they are.

If someone well versed lives near the car you are looking perhaps they will be willing to have a butchers for you.
 
Another vote for a Peter Morgan inspection. Not only do you get a war and peace report you also get a value report.
Peter's report will highlight any issues that you can agree to get put right or use to agree a better price. You might think his report isn't cheap but the time spent on the sport, condition inspection, history inspection can save you thousands.
I would not buy a Porsche without his report even if it was at an OPC.
 
Mr 911 does (or used to) use Precision Porsche for all his used car preparations, so that says the cars will be all good.

Ask him.

Bought my 993 from Clive, he was quick to sort out a few issues and drove from Kent to Wiltshire on one occasion to do a fix, would recommend him for purchase

Bought my 993 from Clive about 4 years ago - decent guy to deal with. Everything that came up as part of my PPI was fixed (at Precision.) Over the next few months as it got some use, I found out more things that needed addressing - he was very reasonable and he paid for them to be sorted directly by my local Indy. Would buy from him again...
