Porsche Awards 2016

The Porsche industry UK awards are back, now in its 9th year, 911uk Porsche Industry UK Awards are pleased to announce the voting stage for the 2016 Awards.

Voting is now open through to 13th January 2017, with the results due to be announced in the week of the 16th January 2017.

For this year we again have kept things simple with the same successful formula as last year with the same 7 Porsche Industry categories to vote in.

For the 7 voting categories for 2016, a total of 11 awards handed out, as below.
1. Official Porsche Centre – Gold & Silver Awards
2. Independent Porsche Car Sales Garage – Gold & Silver Awards
3. Independent Porsche Car Service Garage – Gold & Silver Awards
4. Independent Porsche Parts Supplier & Tuning Specialist.
5. Porsche Motorsport
6. Porsche Magazine
7. Porsche Customer Service - Twin Gold Award (2 votes)


The www.porscheawards.co.uk website explains each category in more detail and the procedure for voting which is in the form of an online submission.

The www.porscheawards.co.uk website also has a complete listing of previous year winners, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2008.

Voting is now open through to 13th January 2017, with the results due to be announced in the week of the 16th January 2017.

Great idea but it got me thinking. I'm not sure how the winner is drawn but my guess would be highest number of votes. So if that is the case, isn't this just basically a poll of where is your nearest dealer/specialist to some degree? I.e the ones with a massive catchment area (say London); from a purely statistical perspective, are much more likely to be voted for than say a dealer in the Outer Hebrides?

Not every year but there also judged categories in order to represent the wider landscape. The judges are from all of the major Porsche Magazines and this will be back in for the 2017 awards.
 
Also a great way of harvesting personal data for marketing purposes. The prize draw is just a lure.

An email is required to validate every completed vote.
No data is passed on or every shared with any third party. You can opt in and out of this.
 
Bournemouth OPC still display their award from 2014 proudly on their reception desk!
