Hi guys,

new to this forum so this is my first post.
Porsche enthusiast, have been since i was a kid. This year i started to buy and sell some 911s as a hobby as i had some spare time.
Currently own a 997 C2s coupe, 996 C4s tip convertible, 996 C4 tip coupe and most recently a 964 C4 convertible.

Thought id start this thread on my project car, the 964.
I found this car through a friend. It had been sat in a garage for last 12 years.
Its a 4 owner, 80,000 miles, full service history car.
Bodywork, paint (once we cleaned off at the dirt) is amazing. Cars never been crashed or repaired.
Engine started up straight away and car drove and stopped very well for a car thats been sitting for so long.
Interior was ruined. Was fitted with some nasty recaros and needs a whole re-fit.

So car has been taken straight to workshop so we could restore to former glory and get back on the road where she belongs.

I'll be updating as we go on with pics etc.

Car is midnight Blue. Im going for back interior.

Found 2 seats on eBay and purchased for a bargain £300!! They came with all electrics, runners etc.

Just ordered a full carpet set from Southbound. I was told they are the best available. Certainly not the cheapest, but i want the car as good as possible as i intend to keep and enjoy it for years to come myself.
(I'll post up pics when the kit arrives and document installation)

Ordered black door handles, door pockets, replacement for the centre console cassette holder and new gear lever today, again, all found on eBay.

This week i'll get the new roof ordered in dark blue to match the bodywork. Just doing some research for the best ones out there before i buy. Again, i'll document fitting.

Welcome Drummo, good luck with the project

You've certainly got a wide range of German metal to enjoy

Keep the pics coming

Where in the UK are you?

Thanks Ridders.

Yes its not a bad start to the day, when your first decision is what car to use out of that lot =)
Have to say i love the 997, its by far the best drivers car I've ever owned.
Ive hardly driven the 996s since I've had it. Awesome car.

I live in Hammersmith
