Slate Grey 996 C4s

Seems to be a little collection of aberdeen / shire owners popping on should get our own sub-forum on the go at this rate.

Yip sure could

Very nice, do like slate grey

So not really been out in this lately for various reasons. Managed to get the turbo front splitter on. Got out the other week but not far as the radiator starting leaking. Not bad but waiting on replacement. I therefore decided to fit the low temp thermostat (by god these things have a lot of coolant). Still loving it, its just feels so good when pushing it.

Currently looking like this whilst I wait on the radiators and new hoses coming. Gave me a good chance to clean everything and give it a coat of Dinitrol.

So decided to go all out and get a Kline system. Spoke to a few owners that had them and nothing but glowing reports. The noise a car makes is very important to me and its probably the only main modification I'll do to that car.

Very nice welding, whole thing looks very good quality.

We need a new emoticon ...

"This thread is useless without Sound!'

Looks great :thumb:

So I managed to get some photos of when it was fitted. Its made the car so much better, the noise when you get about 4500rpm is sublime. Only bad point is tips need perfectly aligned and the bolts to do this are very crusty so I suspect will just snap so Im hesitant to touch them.

Out with the old

In with the new.

Had thoughts of maybe going colour coded on the wheels or do it to a set of turbo wheels that are hollow spoke so a bit lighter.

That or maybe Gt3 or OZ's, something like this.

get looking car, enjoy!

Did it have the PSE or standard exhaust before you changed?
I'interested if the new one sounds as good as the PSE?

Std so quiet. New one is not as loud as PSE Id say but its perfect for me.

That's good.
I was up in North Wales in mine on Sunday and everybody commented on how good it sounds.

Little update. Car has been really good. Managed to give it a run over to west coast a couple of months back and it performed well.

Id been having a slight misfire in the wet so ordered a full set of coipacks however when I went to inspect old ones I found one was slightly loose and coolant overflow pipe had been trapped by another one so it seems fine now in the wet. At least I have some spares, I'll put new ones on in winter.

I love the std wheels but always change wheels on my cars, I just like doing something different and I think they can change a car so went with something nice and light and more aggressive. OZ Alleggertia. Fitted at weekend and first proper drive today. They feel better than std for sure, I know they'll be marmite but I really like them. Keeping std so I can change back at some point if I wish.

Little vid with tunnel noises halfway through

Nice car, great pics. :thumb:
