Who do you currently use for insurance and how much? Feb 16

Footman James sounds like another one to check with at renewal :thumb:

AIB need to look at that Trackday issue IMO, doesn't worry me as if I only do the odd day and could get cover separately, but when offering "specialist Porsche Insurance" they must miss quite a lot of business due to that one thing. Shame when everything else stacks up.

I'm with aib, first year I've insured it up in London with the wife on it for emergencies and business use, was £480. I'm 32 and full no claims. Limited to 3000 miles, garaged, agreed val. I'm with admiral for another car so I'll give their classic policy a go next time on multi car

I use Aurum
0 year NCB...
27 years old
first time insured in the UK
agreed valued 46k

£1750 per year... :?
£1000 excess...

painful but the quotes I initially received were between £2k and £5k!

I expect the premium to significantly decrease next year

Renewal just in from Classic Line

3k miles
0 NCB (Classic policy)
SDP Single driver
UK Track Days included if wanted (EU £75 per event)
UK/EU Homestart Breakdown

£303

I think I paid c£250 last year so overall it's not bad and for the price change I'm not rushing to start calling round for quotes :dont know:

Well I am not going to feel sorry for your. What? 27 years old already driving a 993? The stuff of dreams and decade long longings. I had to wait until I was 20 years older to sit in one. :p

Just phone Hagerty, quote came in at £1900 with £2000 excess.

CLine last year was £754 this year they are quoting £855 with agreed valuation and limited mileage.

Looks like the best option and to be fair they paid out £11,000 with little question when I hit a deer in my Turbo.

I really should stick with them for a few years at least.

Just renewed mine via Porsche Insurance, dropped from last year to £381...

Cheaper than my M4

PCGB scheme.

5k miles , but for £110 would give me 7.5k
Repair at Porsche, with Porsche parts
Agreed value in event of write off
Track days
Additional named drivers
UK and Euro breakdown (incl homestart)

Bearing in mind one of my oldest friends does / has always looked after all my Insurance requirements , he told me it is underwritten by Chubb, and he couldn't get close on cover or premium .
