OPC Reading great purchase experience

I only knew that because I overheard you telling someone else that a couple years back :)

Yes.

In fact they are they are also almost the lightest 19" wheel Porsche fit to any road vehicle, only pipped by the ultralight Boxster Spyder wheels (which are about 100g lighter per corner)

Where do the 996 Sport Techno wheels fit on the scale (of 18"wheels)?

Lovely looking car. Should be a lot of fun

There are 3 genuine hollow spokes (not "Look"):

Turbo Technology 18" - 993, 996
Turbo Technology II 18" - 996
Sport Technology 18" - 996

They are as follows:

T1 (8", 10") @ 8.9kg FR/10.6 RR
T2 (8", 11") @ 9.7kg FR/11.9 RR
ST (8", 11") @ 9.4kg FR/11.9 RR

For comparison, the spindly, solid Carrera (5-spoke) 18" (8", 10") @ 9.3kg FR/10.3kg RR

Bags be on GT4's team on the 911uk pub quiz. :worship:

Just hope we don't get a sports question about Aston Rangers or Tottenham City :dont know:

Double take

I was looking through this thread as I had bought a 997.2 C4S from OPC Reading back in December 2015.

I did a double take when I saw the picture 914Phil posted, it looks exactly the same as mine, colour, wheels the lot - does that absolve me of the need to post a pic?

Still my experience of OPC Reading was very good, very pleasant to deal with, a rather unique buying experience compared to my other car buying experiences. They were very open about the car and the financials so I ended up buying more quickly than I had anticipated but happy with the experience. I can only say other parts of the VAG group could learn an awful lot about customer service from OPC Reading. I would suggest if you get the chance for a tour around the place, jump at it.

I did have some niggles with the car and even having difficult conversations was not a problem, maybe me being nice all the way through helped. Still they have resolved the issues and I am very happy with the car. If your car has a rattle the rough section of the A33 south from J11 of the M4 will find it...

 Too true, and if it didn't have a rattle before it will probably develop one after driving that bit of road!

OPC Reading didn't seem particularly interested when I wanted to buy a Cayman GTS. It might just be luck of the draw in which salesman you happen to deal with or maybe the queue of buyers for that particular model meant they didn't need to put in much (or even any) effort.
