My thoughts, since you are asking. I wouldn't bother getting it back to a stock car. I dont think you can get back there completely and at the end of the day as much as some people only want a standard car there's less that want a done, undone, and re done car than would want it modded I reckon.
I think if you seriously want to sell then get it into a dealer that can "vouch" for it as is and add a bit of safety for a potential buyer. jzm or the likes of them where you are. Hanging out in the backwaters of 911uk isn't going to get you the marketing clout you need. This is a forum post, not even a classifieds ad? As much as its an enthusiasts car and we are by definition enthusiastic there just are enough looky loos on here to get the job done unless you have a standard 993 :floor:
Either that or i'll make you a silly offer
Thanks Senoj, fully concur with your thoughts and as already mentioned, it would be a terrible shame to convert back to stock. Engine, gearbox, CUP steering system and ECU would stay as don't need the hassle of non-matching numbers and verification of mileage etc. That would leave something like the following being available:
-Full Akrapovic Titanium exhaust (manifolds, cats, silencers, tips...)
-Carbon doors
-Carbon Door cards
-Carbon wings
-Carbon Bonnet
-Front cage extension
-Lightweight carpet set
-Porsche 997.2RS Genuine rear wing and engine cover
-H&R coilovers
-BBS alloys
-CUP motorsport Airbox
-CUP steering wheel
-OMP Harnesses
-Carbon Strut brace front
I have spoke to JZM but they do not want LHD or modded cars. So as I can't covert it to a stock 993  that leaves me to take your silly offer
You never know, you may just be lucky.
As it currently stands the best offer I had was in November for 170K euro but I turned it down (truth be told I don't think I had the heart to sell it at the time). But now I really have no choice and since then have had various offers:
996GT2 + cash
996GT3RS straight swap
997.1GT3 + cash
Mac MP4-12C PX
150Keuro last week
The last offer is the best option for me right now as I don't need the hassle of selling another car.
So effectively, although the mods alone amount to pretty much the last offer I have had, this is where I stand right now. So if I was offered €150,000.01 euro now it would be the highest current bid
I could probably sell the parts above separately for £18-20K which would enable a little wiggle room in terms of price movement; it would however, just feel so wrong, to reverse what is so right though :nooo:
