Thought some of you 944 owners would like to see what is behind this common problem.
In this case, the actual main outer and inner sill between the A and B pillar was okay. It was in fact the front wing lower and rear wing lower sills that were corroded.
If the centre sections do need to be replaced, then clearly this is a bigger job to cut out and weld in - you can still get the replacement centre sills at a cost of approx £320+vat from Porsche, but welding cost would be high.
On the wings you can get carbon replacement panels which are cheaper than Porsche original, or in this case it is cheaper to fabricate the panels.
