I looked into all this myself recently and went with a well established independent who was located very close by to the seller. I was really pleased with the service. One of the advantages of Peter Morgan of course is that he will travel to the car and most can't do that. He isn't cheap in part because you pay for the travel time. I was extremely impressed with the independent specialist I used and think that if I was doing it again then that will be my preferred route. If for logistics it is not possible to take the car to an indie then I'd use someone like Peter Morgan if he covered the area. Third choice would be OPC. Not that they are bad, it's just that it seems to be more of a box ticking exercise, the checks are not that detailed, and you don't tend to know who will be doing the check.
