My Red 964 C4 - The Next Chapter

Not much happening over this side of the water compared to some of projects continuing this winter, so Paull_911 and i went for a drive round the Kingdom of Mourne this morning.

Visability was down to around 50 feet coming through the mountains, but the sun did come out for a few minutes

Nothing like a spirited Sunday drive to blow away the winter blues 8)

Nice to get out for a drive, mine is in for its resto work, I hope it's back before I have to buy another one!

Is your car parked or abandoned?

No danger of kerbing the wheels!

:)

Abandoned! Totally! I would straddle two spaces if I could get away with it 8)
Did you decide on a change of colour yet Pete, or are you keeping it as is?

As there is so much more involved in a swap, engine out, suspension etc to do the engine bay, wheel arches, front compartment, interior stuff etc then common sense has prevailed.

A truly beautiful part of the world.
Mum and dad live in Potaferry in a small cul de sac named mourne view and my sisters wedding reception was in the slieve Donnard hotel - at the foot of the mountains.
As a kid we used to visit Newcastle and occasionally stayed over at the Tullimore caravan park.
Now, that's enough reminiscing - as you were!

Lovely car by the way, you must feel very proud of your efforts.

The restoration continues, big upgrade today, old rusty wiper arms gone, new shiney arms installed. It's all in the details 8)

However most of ths months pocket money has went on refurbing the wheels for the z4. They were very badly corroded and are now better than they were new! Will get them fitted this week when the new centre caps arrive.
Fred approves!

That's all for now, first dive with pcgb next weekend so hopefully get some good weather and good company.

I have sweet memories of painting the ends of those wiper arms Mike, we have the same Aero blades ! , im thinking of taking them off as they do look bulky , ive got some delicate Bosch ones on stand by.
We are off out for a run tomorrow , hope yours is fun next week .. enjoy :thumb: Keith

coolest dog in town

the GF and I had to get out in the sun today for a drive around the Ards Peninsula. Great weather and nice coastal roads but the highlight of the day had to be the British Racing Green Rolls Royce that pulled into the petrol station beside us, complete with the coolest dog in the country riding shotgun!

Love the car, but love the woofer more :p

Now she's lovely, the car's not bad either :thumb:

just thought id give everyone a bit of an update as its been two years since Pete passed ownership of the 964 onto me.

nothing has happed since the respray apart from new brake discs and pads. Toying with the idea of getting some Recaro Pole positions but I don't know if my back would appreciate it!

so I've just been racking up the miles with several like minded enthusiasts from the PCGB, discovering some great driving roads right on our doorstep.

two years of 964 ownership and I haven't regretted one second of it

I'm glad you passed the custodian examination.

You're doing Keith and I proud, and she is in good hands.

Aahh, I remember many a run out in the north east hot on the heels of that car
