Please can anyone recommend a GOOD Porsche Specialist in the East Midlands? I have tried two in the Nottingham Area and am not impressed by either. All they seem to be able to do well is charge! I don't mind paying reasonable charges - have spent over £4 K with these two over the last year - as long as my 3.2 is being well looked after. Which I don't feel at the moment. You

Which two have you tried so far?

specialist

Cavendish porsche have looked after mine in the past, but now I use sutton coldfield porsche

I don't think I should name names. Sorry state though isn't it ? When a 'Specialist' can leave you so disappointed.

Really is a sorry state when no one can really recommend a Porche 'specialist' . What's happening out there ? I want someone who can look after my 3.2 Carrera - honestly and capably. Also some people who will able to suggest and carry out enhancements to braking and suspension.

Sadly there aren't many 911uk.com members that have an SC/3.2 so by posting on that particular sub-forum you are immediately limiting the amount of responses you will get.

If you'd posted in the Members lounge or one of the other sub-forums such as 'Garages, parts, servicing ....' etc you would have lot lots of pointers.

Have you read any of the other sub-forums :?:

A lot of members recommend Revolution Porsche in Brighouse. A bit of a drive for you but they have an excellent reputation

OPC Leicester have a good reputation for looking after older models. My 964 was maintained by them for 8 years before I bought it, including engine rebuild. The chap from whom I bought it is a bit OCD about his Porsches - he has several including a mint 993 and a 944 Turbo - and if he trusts OPC Leicester to look after them then that's a good recommendation to me. They also have very competitive rates for classic aircooleds.

If you want to consider an OPC, ask them if they have a technician specialist in heritage cars. Many have such a specialist even though all are capable of working on the older models.

Probably worth a visit to your chosen OPC and discuss your needs and ask how they meet them. Do the same with indys. You should be able to judge just by talking and seeing what they have in the workshop and the age spread of technicians.

Give centergravity a ring to discuss your brake and suspension enhancements great team Chris & Pete you won't be disappointed

I've not had mine long but Francis tuthill seem to know what they are doing. They created Chris Harris' kermit and have it in stock currently. They can almost do anything.

Put a posting on impactbumpers.com the guys are really into these cars and will have a very good base to give you advice
They are a great crowd 👍
