evo's Jethro Bovingdon take the Porsche 991 Turbo S to Anglesey circuit to put the 552bhp 911 against the clock and earn its place on the evo Leaderboard. Will it beat the Nissan GT-R? Can it topple the mighty Ferrari 458 Speciale?

Imagine it on semi-slicks!!

6.2 sec to 100  mental love the look of these turbos

Oh YES!!!

Booked with PCGB for this circuit on the 23rd May, will be miles slower than that thing though

Jeez, that is some car putting a lap time like that down, especially when considering the enormous effort Ferrari went to when the Speciale went there....

I think the car should be named 'The Silent Assassin' :worship:

I enjoyed Jethro's real world take on the 911. The GT's are fantastic at what they do as we've been told a thousand times - by track enthusiasts. But building a super quick track car is one thing. And there are many that will easily surpass any GT3 and many patched together repmobiles built by DIY'ers at home in their sheds that aren't too far behind. A track car has one primary job to do. But building a truly brilliant road car is far more challenging and exponentially more demanding. It requires a blend and balance of capabilities and qualities that a track focussed car can only dream of. So it's good to see a return to a more grounded world view. A 'basic'' Carrera already does a fantastic job of combining performance with usability, fun with practicality, thrills and memories with reliability and safety. No track car can match a Porsche Carrera in terms of all round everyday real world 'useable' capability. Which is why 911's are the icons that they re. But the turbo S takes it to another level. In fact another dimension. Another galaxy. Incredible incredible car. If you want to drive around and around in circles over and over trying to nip a tenth or so off some lap time somewhere, get a GT3. If you want a brilliant everyday sports car for the real world, get a Carrera. If you want the epic earthshattering pinnacle of Porsche engineering, design, innovation and craftsmanship, get the Turbo S.

Absolutely stunning!!!

Didn't expect it to beat the GTR by so much around the circuit - awe inspiring stuff!!
