Thanks to everyone who contacted me to help find a test car for our next 9A1 4.2 engine testing program - we found one!
Unfortunately it was not with existing engine problems but a very nice high mileage example running perfectly owned by a charming young man with whom it was a pleasure doing business.
That's two development and test Gen 2's here now but 3 different engines to test (2 different configurations of a 4.0 and the 4.2).
With the budget for this program stretched now (and being only one of three other programs) we might have to swap the engine in one to test a different version - unless there is still a car out there with engine problems at a fair and reasonable price (could be PDK or Manual this time as we have a manual now).
