Hi all,

How do you pooch transporting owners go about protecting the back seats from dog-borne mud? - I haven't seen any rear seat covers for 997 coupes online?

Also, if anyone can recommend a decent restraint strap (preferably with photos of it in use) for a 12kg dog I'd be grateful. In my other stuff we use caribeners clipped onto headrest supports, but obvously this won't work in a 997.....

Our little hound is only 8kg. I use a harness that he wears to which a special seat belt attachment is clipped and plugged into the seatbelt clasp.

I generally just use towels or blankets to protect the trim.

If it's a muddy walk we go in the old X5!

My dog is 27kg. I just take the seat bases out and put a blanket over the uprights. Holidays I just take all the seats out. Get a decent walking harness (I have ruffwear) and clip him in with the seatbelt clip. I use 2 on a long journey.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Has anyone tried one of these? https://www.overthetop.co.uk/porsche-911-2005-2012-custom-back-seat-cover/

Yes, have them in the back off the 911 and in the back of the golf. Fit well, top layer is the fabric, then padding and a waterproof inner layer. Maybe not the cheapest but they are good. We put our mini dachshund in a dog car seat in the back, the car seat sits on a cut block of foam that levels out the area vs the rest of the seats. He can see out the window and is happy, getting him in and out is a little awkward though.

Thank you - I think I'll get one ordered up.
