The time has come to sell my baby, family and tax bill forces sale!

Some info, forgive me if its sounds really corny, but this is the basis for an ebay advert if it doesnt get sold on here!

The car started of as a standard 1998 Carrera 2 6-speed manaul, your typical old looking 911 with the orange lights and small bumpers and bland interior

The following extras were specified from the factory:

CLIMATE CONTROL

And I believe thats about it!

Not making for good reading so far!

BUT

Today the car has the following at the following costs installed...........

Interior:

Black electric leather 2003 hardbacked sports seats - £500

Full extended silver artic pack (very rare) - £500

Porsche tequipment aluminium gear knob with short shift - £300

Porsche tequipment aluminium handbreak - £150

Leather 3-spoke steering wheel - £250

Silver dials - £50

In-car entertainment:

Back in 1998 PCM was all the rage and today people often WON'T buy a 996 unless it has it....

This car has much better!

We start off with the head unit

A KENWOOD DNX5220 7" touch screen (a quick google will give you FULL spec)

This has the garmin City Navigator 2008 software and maps + speed camers pre loaded

Also TV function, and plays DVD's

USB cable and I-Pod cable are all included

There is also a bluetooth parrot installed with voice dialling etc

ALL speakers in the car have been upgraded to JL audio

To give the bass if you require it, a be-spoke 8inch sub-woofer has been especially made, this is behind the back seats

To power everything there is a 500/5 channel Jl audio amp in the front this alone cost £900

I have receipts totalling £4200 for the ICE system

TRUST me when I say, its like your in a IMAX cinema!

Exterior:

FULL 2003 exterior conversion

PLEASE NOTE: ALL parts are original PORSCHE, no fibre glass or replica

Only the rear GT3 rear wing is NON genuine (still was £1000)

2003 front bumper - £300

2003 wings - £300

2003 HID LITRONIC lights with washers - £1300

Facelift rear lights + clear side indicators - £300

GT3 mk2 side skirts - £350

Facelift rear bumper - £350

FRONT GT3 front spillter not pictured as only put on yesterday! (this balances downforce on front and back)

GT3 wheels (be-spoke finish) with BRAND new tyres, thanks LLoyd

Plus the labour and spraying totalled £6000 for exterior parts

Other items

The car also has the following:

A tracker - £200

Ofiicial Porsche swithable sports exhaust with dashboard button- £1000

25mm rear wheel spacers - £100

Yellow calipers

Garage door opener! ;) £250

Yellow stuff front brake pads

Goodridge stainless steel braded hoses all round

Brake fluid = ATE super racing blue

K&N panel air filter

WOW thats around £13,000+ of extras!

Service History:

The most IMPORTANT thing to remember is service history

The car could have £50,000 spent on it, but if it doesnt have an excllent history its pointeless buying it.

FORTUNATELY, this car has it all

The next service the carr will need is a basic yearly one in October this year around £280 from Porsche themselves

Other info:

The car has 6months MOT on it and 3 months tax, oil has only been topped up with Mobil 1 since I have owned it.

The car has covered 74,000miles, yes, its only done 2000 miles since its last serice in October 2008 as I only use it at weekends

There is a folder with £1000's of receipts/bills inc all old MOT's etc

NOTE:.........

There is a small piece of plastic out of the rear passenger side light (measues around 10mm) this was like this when I bought and I have never got round to buying a new one.

The ONLY marks on the car are the following:

Drives mirror

AND a few light scuffs on the corner of the rear bumper

Other than these the car is 100% UN-MARKED

I personally have replaced/fixed the following since owning the car, I did them my self as they are simple jobs

New front top mounts

Rear bushes

A track rod end

Rear drop links

A new drivers window regulator

These are common circa 70,000mile problems and they have being fixed so you wont have to worry about them going.

The RMS is BONE DRY - the area around it has not been cleaned to try and hide any leaking.

Tool kit is full and complete as is the umbrella!

The car in itself drives perfect, there are no rattles or clangs or anything that needs replcacing. It still pulls like a train and not a puff of smoke comes out of the exhaust.

PLEASE NOTE: I have my private plate on this car, this is NOT included in the sale.

I am NOT transferring the plate over before I have agreed a sale. This means the following will occur.

Once a sale has been agreed, you can happliy view the V5, MOT etc BUT these will have to be sent to thee DVLA in order for a new log book to come back in my name (this wont put a new owner on the v5) with the original 'R' reg on it, I will then fill in YOUR details into the V5 and a new log book will be generated in your name and address. Also a new MOT and tax disc will also arrive. THIS is the process I went through when buying the car and is completely legal and DVLA has no problems with this as I have checked when buying the car and also again today. I am more than happy to give you full colour photocopies of the v5 while you wait for a new one in your name - this process takes around 6 weeks.

The reason I am doing it like this is bcause if I take my reg of before I advertise the car, I may not get what I want for it then I will have to put my private plate back on this is a lot of messing around and un-neccessary costs.

The car can be viewed from Monday 27th onwards as I am away this weekend in it

CAR IS HPI CLEAR

I live in Wilmslow, Cheshire viewings can be made by contacting me on 07790-558890 no with-held numbers please as I wont answer - Richard

I will be putting it on ebay this weekend but thought id let let everyone on here have first pic. I want £15,500 which I think is a fair price.

At 15.5K you will just about get the money back you have spent on it.
Stick on for more and allow yourself to be haggled down. we need to get these prices up again

Rich,
I feel for you, your loss must be hard to bear.
Some car for some lucky future owner all done correcly it seems.
Lets hope potential buyers can read beyond the R plate.

The forum should remain inactive for a while as we reflect on your forthcoming sad loss.
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Regards,
Adeymars.
