||FOR SALE - Porsche 911 (March 2005 - 997) Carrera 3.6 Tipronic.
It is a Carrera 2, 997 3.6 with the wonderful 5 speed tiptronic gearbox, in Arctic Silver with extended dark blue (Ocean?) full leather interior.
The car has 58087 miles on the clock. I am the second owner and bought it in March 2013. The V5 is registered in my name at my home address. I have the dealer supplied book pack and both keys present. This is a non sunroof, non PASM, no rear wiper car and (in my opinion,) is all the better for it.
This car attracts the lower VED of £315, being in band K.
There is a full service history with receipts and past mot's. The service book is stamped to reflect this and the receipts correspond. The first 8 years were at OPC Aberdeen and since 2013, in my ownership, this has been undertaken at PE Porsche Specialists nearer to where I live. It is an often overused phrase, but it has been maintained regardless of the incurred costs.
On the road the car runs perfectly with the standard 3.6 flat 6 engine mated the the 5 speed tiptronic transmission. It has had all the common 997 issues addressed to ensure it is reliable and useable in the future. These include the Air Conditioning Condensers, Tandem Oil Pump, Water Pump, front crossover water pipes (with fresh coolant obviously) etc. It has been fitted with a Hartech Low Temperature Thermostat kit and being a Tiptronic, has the third radiator fitted as standard. Anything it needs it gets.
It has had the time sensitive gearbox oil and filter change, as usual using the correct genuine factory parts. A new Bosch battery has been fitted and the car lives on a conditioner. The computer has been interrogated using the PIWIS and there are NO OVER REVS RECORDED IN ANY OF THE 6 RANGES. For driver comfort, Cruise control was specified from new along with Xenon headlights (with self levelling and washers) and rear parking sensors.
You may be aware that these engine occasionally use a drop of oil within the manufacturers tolerances. The level has always remained constant and I have never had to top up the oil between services, including an extended trip to Spain and France taking in the Pyrenees.
The standard Carrera 18" alloys are fitted with a matched set of Michelin Pilot Sport N4 tyres however the front tyres will be replaced prior to handover to the new owner due to their age.
The car is in MINT condition. It has factory original paintwork save for a very minor repair to some bubbling behind each front wheel, (another 911 trait?). The wings weren't painted but were re-lacquered. I have worked in a body shop. I have a fetish about this sort of thing. There are stone chips where there should be stone chips, bearing in mind the age and mileage. I've won concours events (with motorbikes) in years gone by.
Again, excellent. Unmarked extended leather throughout with a colour coordinated Alcantara headlining. It's been regularly well cared for, using Gliptone products, as required. I have had the drivers mat repaired to maintain the originality. All the fixtures and fittings work as the manufacturer intended.
I've checked the car over 10671 miles using the Fuelly App and it's returned 27.3 MPG average. This should give you an indication of how it's been driven.
The options codes were checked when I bought the car in 2013.
249 Tiptronic S transmission
288 Headlamp washer
432 Tiptronic buttons for steering wheel
446 Wheel caps with coloured Porsche crest
454 Automatic speed control (Cruise)
567 Top-tinted windscreen
601 Xenon headlamps
635 ParkAssistant (Rear)
936 Leather rear seats
981 Leather dashboard and door panels
983 Leather front seats
As you might expect if you've had the tenacity to read this far, I have every single piece of paper that’s ever been associated with the car, with the exception of the original bill of sale. I have all the service records, the spare parts receipts, all the repairs invoices, every MOT, in fact everything. It’s obviously got the two factory keys that the car came with, the original key ring, in addition to this I’ve got the original tax disc holder and old discs, the original number-plates from Porsche Centre Aberdeen, handbooks, PCM guide, quick set up guide etc
Throughout my ownership it has been kept in an alarmed, dry, dehumidified, heated garage and never left out. I have always run the car on the correct grade of super unleaded.
The car is hpi clear (feel free to do your own checks) and is ready to be used and enjoyed with 11 months mot remaining. Obviously it’s got everything it came with with regards to the warning triangle, emergency tools, wheel bolt locking key and it’s actually got a genuine Porsche first-aid kit as well. All these are unused.
I was attracted to this car because it was one owner, un damaged and original, plus it had never been anywhere other than OPC Aberdeen, even to top the oil up on one occasion would you believe? I'd say it's much better now it's been through my fastidious hands.
I'm assuming (and would recommend) the prospective buyer will want a PPI and boroscope and I'm happy to take the car to PE Porsche Specialist or wherever.
The car is located in South Yorkshire near junction 31, M1. Viewing is welcomed and recommended. I am happy to take prospective buyers for a suitably long test drive.
