||Number 1330 of 1953 made to celebrate 50 years of Porsche.
Immaculate hardtop, black leather interior and black soft top.
Within the last 3k miles: IMS. RMS. Refreshed wheels, gearbox, suspension, brakes, tyres, exhaust, clutch, DMF, engine mounts.
Fastidiously maintained by my late father, who owned since 2014. In that time the he enjoyed 4000 miles and took pride in having the following work done, costing in excess of £10k. The car is like new, compare this list to the other cheaper or lower mileage 550 Spyders for sale:
IMS and RMS upgraded as preventive maintenance. (Essential for peace of mind on Boxster and 911s)
Gearbox rebuild and cables. (Feels superb)
Original special edition wheels refurbished.
Suspension refresh - control arms, tuning forks, bushes, ARB links all round. (the car handles beautifully, with a very taut controlled ride)
Self serviced and recorded each year. Specialists and dealers prior to his ownership and also for his bigger projects.
Spark plugs 2017
Brake discs and front pads. Rears pads purchased but not fitted. Can supply separately.
New Goodyear Porsche specific tyres all round.
Exhaust replaced (OEM not aftermarket)
Clutch and dual mass flywheel
As the special anniversary edition the car has a very high specification from Porsche with a more powerful engine then the standard Boxster S:
Short throw gearbox. (15% less travel - and has just been refurbed so feels excellent)
Slightly lower and firmer suspension, with wheels spaced marginally outboard for a wider and lower stance.
Exclusive GT Silver Metallic paintwork paint, and 18 inch Spyder wheels.
Xenon lights (these also have glass protectors, so are immaculate with no yellowing)
The car was also specified with:
Hardtop with hardtop stand
Black leather interior in immaculate condition.
Black electric folding roof with heated glass.
The car has done just 200 miles since being serviced by my Porsche Specialist in November. I had hoped to keep the car, but sadly cannot justify it any longer. All the car needs now is a brake fluid change (£60).
I have a huge file of paperwork - inches thick. The official Porsche maintenance hardback manual, not a pdf, plus countless additional literature my father accumulated for his cherished car.
